I enjoy thinking and discussing ideas, rolling them around in my head or with a friend; I enjoy taking delight in simple things like a sunset or a smile from a child; I enjoy using my hands to create things of beauty, whether they have a specific "function" or not; I find a walk in the woods to be rejuvenating; I love to pray and worship alone and with others; I like to play with my dog and with little children--engaging them to their delight delights me in return. My husband is my best friend and I wouldn't trade him for anyone; I'm looking forward to our 50th anniversary (in 20-some years!)--he says, "Triple or nothing." I also have a progressive hearing loss and have worn hearing aids since 1992. My hearing deteriorated to the point that I got a cochlear implant in my left ear in March 2006 and in my left ear July 2008.
David just figured out how to set this up to automatically post to my own webpage. I'm looking forward to posting my cochlear implant progress reports here, as well as various oddments about our family.
